Bill Pope has been practicing law for fifteen years. He is admitted to practice in both Idaho and Washington, and practices in both state and federal courts. Bill is an experienced litigator who focuses his practice on insurance defense including personal injuries, transportation and trucking litigation, construction defect and work site injuries, premise liability, fire cases, sport and recreation defense, bad faith, and insurance coverage and opinions. Bill also handles ERISA litigation on behalf of the firm. Bill regularly tries lawsuits and defends litigants in arbitrations and mediations throughout Idaho and Washington. He routinely counsels insurance companies and their policy holders on all aspects of litigation and risk management. Bill's practice ability is enhanced by the fact that he speaks Spanish. He has been annually selected as a Mountain States Super Lawyer and is "AV" "Preeminent" Peer Review Rated by Martindale-Hubbell.

Bill grew up in Southern California where he enjoyed playing competitive baseball. After high school, Bill attended college at Brigham Young University where he continued his baseball career. He graduated from BYU in 1994, receiving a B.A. in History.

After college, Bill entered law school at BYU’s J. Reuben Clark Law School. During law school Bill was awarded the Outstanding Writing Award for his paper analyzing the pertinent labor issues concerning Major League Baseball. Also during law school, Bill worked for two years as a research assistant and editor for late Professor LaMar C. Berrett who was the general editor and an author of the multiple volume series, Sacred Places: A Comprehensive Guide to Early LDS Historical Sites. Bill graduated from law school in 1997.

Following law school, Bill practiced with a small law firm in Spokane, Washington. Bill's practice in Spokane concentrated on litigation of transportation and premises liability lawsuits. While in Spokane, Bill handled several trials and arbitrations. In 2001, Bill joined Carey Perkins LLP, where he has expanded his practice and is now a partner with the firm.

Bill and his family live in Boise. He enjoys a variety of activities including boating, wakeboarding, camping, skiing, softball and coaching his children’s sports teams.
