Ms. Stubbs joined Quane Smith, LLP in 2001, bringing with her substantial experience in defending employer liability matters, worker's compensation claims and medical malpractice cases. Her practice spans all aspects of civil litigation, including both jury and court trials, appeals and alternative dispute resolution. Ms. Stubbs also has significant administrative law experience including hearings before the Idaho Industrial Commission, proceedings before the EEOC and Idaho Human Rights Commission, medical malpractice prelitigation screening panel hearings, and other state and federal agency hearings. She has handled defense of products liability claims, indemnity cases and premises liability claims.

Ms. Stubbs graduated from Capital High School in Boise in 1975. She received a B.A. in history from Carleton College in Northfield, Minnesota in 1979. During college, Ms. Stubbs served a Women in Management Internship. After college, she was a customer service representative at Inland Steel in Chicago, Illinois.

Ms. Stubbs graduated from Lewis & Clark Law School in 1984. During law school, Ms. Stubbs was employed as a certified legal intern for a small law firm in Vancouver, Washington, where one of her duties was working as a small town prosecutor. Following law school, Ms. Stubbs served a judicial clerkship for the Honorable W.E. Smith of the Fourth Judicial District of the State of Idaho and thereafter worked as a Deputy Attorney General for the Idaho Department of Law Enforcement.

In 1991, Ms. Stubbs entered into private practice in Boise, where she focused in the areas of worker's compensation, employer liability and medical malpractice defense involving hospitals and physicians. Ms. Stubbs has handled appeals before the Idaho Supreme Court, the Idaho Court of Appeals, and the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals.

Ms. Stubbs is a member of the Idaho bar and has practiced in state and federal courts in Idaho. She is a member of the Defense Research Institute. Ms. Stubbs is a partner and practices in the Boise office.
