Mr. Jones is a graduate of Boise State University in 1994 where he received his degree in governmental relations. Mr. Jones subsequently graduated from the University of Idaho College of Law with honors in 1998. While in law school, Mr. Jones served as an editor for the Idaho Law Review in addition to publishing an article in the Idaho Law Review in the area of qualified terminal interest property trusts and their tax implications for estate planning purposes. Upon completion of his law degree Mr. Jones was selected to serve a judicial clerkship with the Honorable D. Duff McKee, Senior Judge of the Fourth Judicial District. Mr. Jones is a member of the Idaho bar and is admitted to practice in state and federal courts.
Since joining the firm, Mr. Jones has focused his practice significantly in the specialty of medical malpractice matters, licensing and disciplinary issues, and the defense of health care professionals. Mr. Jones has made several presentations to physicians at seminars throughout Idaho relative to claim prevention, regulation compliance, and educational matters regarding malpractice and litigation. In addition to the defense of physicians in numerous medical specialties, Mr. Jones has also represented, psychologists, nurse midwives, nurse practitioners, certified registered nurse anesthetists, physician assistants, counselors, dentists and other medical support staff.
Mr. Jones is a member of the Defense Research Institute, the Health Law section of the Idaho State Bar, and is a former member of the American Inns of Court # 130. Mr. Jones lives in Boise with his three sons. He enjoys spending time at his family's ranch in Emmett, Idaho and coaching his boys playing baseball.
